I am curious. I am not complaining nor am I insinuating anything that I am aware of but I am curious. Why has this site remained silent on the death of M. Jackson? Not an attempt by the moderators to start a dialogue and almost no mention of Jackson anywhere here. Is it perhaps because of his rather long absence from the performance stage? Or, is it the difficult that Jackson brings with him to any discussion of his contributions (or lack there of) to the contemporary scene/

Still no takers? I am less surprized than I was yesterday. Perhaps, I over-estimated the nature of the story. Or, I should say I am encouraged because the audience of members/guests here may have put this story into the proper context and realize it has had its play of air time; no benefit to further discussion. I am impressed. Am I anywhere near the reality of this situation?

Michael Jackson was a terrific musician and performer. (I once saw him live in concert.) I think he had a difficult upbringing and life. I think the media coverage of his passing was overdone. It was a sad event, in that he passed so young, but all of us pass one day...
